Ken Woolner has over 30 years of experience in the oil and natural gas industry and currently is President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Velvet Energy Ltd., a private Calgary-based exploration and production company. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Brompton SI Fund Management Limited. From February 2006 to June 2011 Mr. Woolner served as a corporate director. From April 2005 to February 2006 he was Executive Chairman of White Fire Energy Ltd., a publicly traded oil and gas company operating in Western Canada, and a trustee of Sequoia Oil & Gas Trust. Mr. Woolner founded and served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Lightning Energy Ltd. from December 2001 to April 2005, when it merged with Argo Energy Ltd. to create Sequoia Oil & Gas Trust and White Fire Energy Ltd.

Prior to that Mr. Woolner was President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Velvet Exploration Ltd., a publicly traded oil and natural gas exploration and production company, from April 1997 to July 2001, when it was acquired by El Paso Oil & Gas Inc. At that time he became a director of El Paso Oil and Gas Canada Inc., serving until May 2002. Before founding Velvet, Mr. Woolner was a Senior Vice President of Morrison Petroleums Ltd. from 1991 to 1997.
